Photo walks without a plan
Leaving the route at home and letting the city decide where to stop.
The best photographs from last month came from a walk with no destination. Turning left whenever a street looked quieter than the one before.
Without a plan you notice textures: peeling paint, reflections in shop windows, the way afternoon light lands on tram rails.
We keep one rule — no more than thirty frames. Scarcity makes each shot a small decision instead of a reflex.
Back home, half of them are deleted. The rest go into a folder called simply 'later', which is where good ideas usually wait.
