Tending a digital garden
Publishing unfinished thoughts and letting them grow in public.
A digital garden is a collection of notes that are never quite done. Some are seedlings, a few have grown into essays, many will stay small.
Publishing early lowers the cost of writing. The goal is not polish, it is a habit of thinking out loud.
Links between notes matter more than dates. Over time the garden develops paths that a chronological blog never would.
This journal is a compromise: dated essays for things that are finished, and a notes section for everything still growing.
